Arrrrrrgh! I'm driving myself crazy trying to get this photo posted to Ravelry so I'm posting it here then putting it there. It will accompany a coupon code for the shop (that isn't as good as the one here, special for blog readers :)
I have been knitting and designing knitwear for over 35 years. My knitting patterns and articles on knitting techniques have been published in Yarn Magazine and I've begun work on a knitting book in collaboration with her sister, also an avid knitter.
In addition to my work with texture and color in felting I am an avid lace knitter whose work has been featured in The Knitting Guild of America's annual fashion show. Originally from Chicago, I called central New Jersey home prior to moving to the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania in 2004. A fiber fanatic, I own a yarn collection with more than 8000 skeins. It is from this 'stash' that Ifind the inspiration to create unique patterns and knitted items.
More recently, I have become addicted to hand spinning. I love the way spinning allows me to manipulate the colors in my yarn, before I knit it up. To that end, I generally dye my own fibers, either handpainting them or kettle dying them prior to blending colors either by hand as I spin or on my drum carder.
